About me

Karina Tavares Perez is a Mexican-American Californian artist who goes by the alias peachperk & mrfruitsnack. They like to combine mediums for the final pieces.

Karina started drawing as a child, drawing fanart of their favorite cartoon characters. It was in early 2008 when they were exposed to anime and manga, and their drawing interest peeked. Again once again in college when they found books on the Mexican Revolution.

Karina is currently a member of SF Artspan and the Graphic Arts Workshop, creating woodblock and intaglio pieces for the next shows and fairs. They intend to continue creating printmaking and illustrations, hoping to one day expand into the graphic novel field.
